e-Gov – a feature of e-Clerk

e-Gov is a web - based approach to doing business with governmental agencies. It allows users employed by governmental agencies to query and retrieve documents from the comfort and safety of their office.

e-Gov allows for the search of documents currently stored in electronic form. At the current time only Civil District Court records are available which we began maintaining in electronic form subsequent to October, 1998. However, through a massive on-going imaging project, the District Clerk's Office anticipates having all Civil and Criminal minutes of the court on-line in the future. Minutes of the court are thouse documents to which a judge has affixed his or her signature.

e-Gov will:
  • allow for the search and acquisition of documents from remote locations
  • be accessible 24 hours a day
  • allow the District Clerk’s office to fulfill our statutory duties as record custodian in a more timely manner
  • foster customer relations
  • reduce repetitive, labor intensive tasks for clerical personnel
